These new loft rentals on the Navy Yard.

The Boston Redevelopment Authority approved a new residential project on Tuesday that will allow an office building to be converted into 49 units of rental housing.

The project, called Building 33, is located in the Charlestown Navy Yard, will cost $5 million to development and include six affordable rental units. The four-story building is 47,000-square-foot office building will be converted into a mix of studios, one and two-bedroom units ranging from 530 to 1,140 square feet.
